This ride was all about keeping “the streak” in tact. Thanks to lots of snow the road conditions were not ideal. Fortunately the Shawnee County Parks & Rec folks did a great job of keeping the trail on the west side of the lake pretty clear so, by making several back and forth trips, we could meet the “mandatory distance” (10 miles) to sustain the Old Phogey consecutive ride streak. The streak now sits at 658 consecutive weeks. Next week will again be challenging as more snow, and much colder temperatures, are promised.
