It’s Been a Minute!

I haven’t posted since November 6th. My excuse(s)? For one, I’ve been moving this blog from one provider to another. (Former URL: kkupr.me. Current, and hopefully final URL: www.kemsepicadventures.org.) Another primary reason is I’ve either been working out or resting body and sole with family/holiday time.

So here’s how things stand at this moment:

  • My weight is down a few more pounds. As of this morning I weighed in at 189. That’s down from 229 a couple of years ago.
  • The cortisone shot in my knee has worked wonders. (See prior posting, “Lube Job in Room 3”. Riding my bike doesn’t bother me at all. Jogging and running in general are things of the past, however sprints across the pickleball court seem to have no impact.
  • Except for these past couple of holiday weeks, I’ve been able to work up to 100 – 250 riding miles weekly. My training started back in August. Prior to that I had only logged 1,178 miles during the first seven months of the year. Following those difficult personal months (See page: “Sharla: Never Forgotten…”), I found solace on my bike and logged an additional 3,320 miles.
  • I’ve continued my twice-weekly cycling classes at the gym.
  • I’ve also added in two weekly weight lifting sessions. In these, I’m working on overall body strength with an emphasis on my legs.

May and my Coast-to-Coast are coming. (Winter is already here!) So I’ll do as best I can to be ready!

2023 Recap from Ride With GPS. — Numbers don’t add up exactly, probably due to rounding.

My road goes ever on.
